Over the years, which teams have earned the right to be called great hockey dynasties? Few would argue that for four decades the Montreal Canadiens were such a club. So too were the Toronto Maple Leafs of the forties fight greatest hockey and sixties. The New York Islanders fight greatest hockey and the Edmonton Oilers could both lay claim to the title in the eighties, while the ever-controversial Philadelphia Flyers would fight for that right in the seventies.
